PB Investology Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates PortfolioBrain, available on the web, on Windows desktop, and — soon — on Google Play (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
1. What we collect
- Account data — the email address you sign up with, and your encrypted password (we never see or store your password in plain text — authentication is handled by Supabase, our identity provider).
- Portfolio data you enter — the holdings, trades, watchlists, and settings you add to the Service, so it can show you your own portfolio, risk, and reports.
- Usage data — basic technical logs (timestamps, error reports, which features are used) that help us keep the Service running and fix bugs. We do not use this to build an advertising profile of you.
- Payment status — whether your account is on the Free or Premium tier. Premium purchases are handled entirely by Google Play Billing — we never see or store your card details.
2. What we don't collect
- We do not sell your data to anyone, for any reason.
- We do not use your portfolio data to trade, advise, or make any decision on your behalf. PortfolioBrain is an informational and analytical tool — every investment decision, and the responsibility for it, remains entirely yours.
- We do not build advertising profiles from your financial data.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers (data "processors") to run PortfolioBrain. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting for your account and portfolio data.
- Railway — hosting for the backend service that powers the app.
- Vercel — hosting for this website and the web app.
- Marketstack — our market-data provider. This is a one-way feed of public market prices into the Service; your personal data is never sent to them.
- Google Play — once mobile launches, Google handles app distribution and Premium billing on our behalf, under its own privacy terms.
We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PB Investology Ltd or our users.
4. Cookies & similar technology
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which involves your browser making a request to Google's servers (Google receives your IP address as part of that standard request). This site also sends a basic pageview signal (the page path and referring page — no cookies, no persistent identifier, and no cross-site tracking) to our own backend, so we can see which pages are visited. We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising cookies on this site or in the app.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and portfolio data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at the address below — we'll action the request within a reasonable timeframe, except where we're required to retain certain records by law.
6. Your rights
- Access — you can ask us what personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — you can update your own portfolio data directly in the app at any time.
- Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and data (see above).
- Portability — you can ask for an export of your data in a common format.

7. Security
Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access to it is restricted by row-level security tied to your account. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.
8. Children's privacy
PortfolioBrain is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
